The voice of Duke Nukem, John St. John, has confirmed that Valve is making Defense of the Ancients.

How does he know? He's just finished lending his voice to the title, that's how.

"Had a great time in Seattle last week recording for DotA. The guys at Valve Software are awesome!"

DotA is a custom scenario for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, and tasks teams with the destruction of the opponents'heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map known as Ancients.

Players use heroes to complete the mission, levelling up and buying equipment along the way.
